If you're struggling to sell something in a well known mobile phone reception blackspot, I've been reviewing a solution.
I live out in the sticks. There's no mobile service, no gas, no terrestial TV even. I do have decent broadband, though.
For the last year, I've been using Vodafone's Suresignal.
This is a £50 box (called a FemtoCell or FemTo) that plugs into my broadband and creates the equivalent of a 3G base station in the house and garden. As a result, I get perfect, clear mobile calls, text messages and 3G data access.
It had a few teething problems which Vodafone seem to have sorted, according to the various forums on the web.
As long as you have a 3G phone (iPhone, in my case), decent broadband and a Vodafone account (nobody else offers this yet), it is a great, life changing solution.
Probably worth getting one for the office if your signal is poor. I'm told that if you complain to Vodafone about poor signal and threaten to leave them, they may even give you a Suresignal box.
